Items for Haiti at shipper - April 9, 2008

Tuesday - we took two truck loads of items to be shipped to Haiti for Yvrose and the kids via a sea container.
There are several to thank for this - those who gave of their funds- those who gathered and shipped to us here - those who encouraged others to give - those who drove and provided trucks and trailers - those who are shipping the stuff out of Smyrna Tennessee - and many, many more.

THANK YOU - may God bless you richly!!!!!!!!!!!

We left for Tennessee - 6:AM - returned home at 4:30 AM the next morning. We had a little issue of a water pump failure on the way home - at the wrong time of day - everything closes early in Kentucky - we were able to get a pump and buy some tools to replace it. Our son, Greg, went with us and he knew how to do this and did a perfect job - he had to improvise some!

Thanks for the Minnix's who provided the van and trailer who also had family within 30 miles of where we were stalled (South of Louisville KY) - they brought us a piece of radiator hose that without it we would have to have waited until 8 AM this morning to get and replace - a 3" long piece of hose.

Thanks for the privilege we had of packing and taking this stuff to be shipped!

Most of all - thank the LORD who provided everything we needed!

This was a very good way to ship items for the kids - they do it every April. We need to be thinking of things we can ship the next time. The containers are 8' wide and 10' high - 40' long! We can get a lot of large items in them - remember- $6.00 per cubic foot of space. We saw some very large items there to be shipped to other parts of Haiti. There will be a total of 5 containers to be shipped out.
